Happy Wednesday,
So I am in the midst of a Bible Study on the history of the Early Church and it's just amazing. Well last night we talked about being the " Salt of the Earth", and it made me think of some main purposes of salt. In cooking salt is used as a flavor enhancer, when it's icy it's used on roads for traction, it's used in water to help soften and it's used for healing. I am sure it's used for many more things too, but this is what came to the top of my mind.
As we were talking last night I brought up the enhancement idea. Jesus is the flavor and we are used to enhance that by showing Jesus to others. I think being the "salt of the earth" is something that we should strive to be. Whether we are enhancing, providing traction, softening or helping in the healing process of those around us. Jesus is using us for the glory of his kingdom. We are called to love, support and show grace among many other things to those around us and salt kinda does all that in it's way. So I for one would love to be the " Salt of the Earth"!
I love that I can use my mind and draw parallels between two things I love so much. Food and Jesus. I feel that they go hand in hand for the survival of a person. We need Jesus for eternal life and we need the nutrients from food to sustain our lives here. It's so wonderful.
Well that's what I have for now. Some Tasty Morsels for the Soul. Thanks for reading.

Welcome...
Hi ,
I am Christina and this is Tasty Morsels for your Soul! I am new to this and hope you will join me on this new adventure. We will talk about feeding our souls and our bellies.
How about I start with a little about me. I was born in Washington when my mom was in the Army, was moved to Northern California when I was about 2 weeks old. Spent 18 years there. Graduated from Marysville High School in 1999. Left California for the large state of Texas. Tried college decided it wasn't for me and joined the USAF in 2001. Spent 11 1/2 years in the Air Force. In my AF time I got married, did a short tour in Korea, moved back to Northern California, had a hysterectomy at age 25, deployed 3 times, separated from Air Force and started Culinary School. After my husbands last deployment he decided he didn't want to be married to me and wanted a divorce. I thought my life was ending, but because of God's grace and great friends who reminded me that I am a strong young woman it didn't end. As this all happened I had Gall bladder surgery and moved back to Texas where found a great church and wonderful support as I am healing and moving forward into a new me. This is my new beginning and I would like you to join me as I learn more about myself in Christ and more about the food we all love. If you have anything you would like to know more about please let me know and I will work it in. Sit back and enjoy the new beginnings of a woman obsessed with God's grace and love and all things food. Together they will be Tasty Morsels for your Soul.
